Adtran SDX 621, 10GE XGS-PON Optical Network Terminal (ONT)
Adtran SDX 621 is a 10G XGS-PON Single Family Unit Optical Network Terminal designed to provide high-speed optical broadband connectivity for residential access environments. It supports symmetric 10 Gbps throughput and provides a 10G Ethernet interface for flexible high-speed network connectivity.
The SDX 621 features one 10G UNI through an RJ-45 interface supporting 100M/1/2.5/5/10G Base-T connectivity. Auto negotiation or manual configuration provides Ethernet deployment flexibility, while automatic MDI/MDIX sensing simplifies connection setup for compatible network devices.
Advanced Ethernet service capabilities include 802.1D bridging, 802.1x authentication, VLAN tagging and detagging, Q-in-Q and VLAN translation, and configurable EtherType and TPID. Eight hardware priority queues with strict priority and/or weighted fair queue scheduling support Class of Service requirements for managed Ethernet services.
The XGS-PON ONT supports DHCP client or static IP configuration, 9k jumbo frames, and 802.1q-based virtual switching. Video service support includes Mediaroom and Minerva bridged video models as well as IGMP v2/v3 snooping, making the SDX 621 suitable for broadband and managed video service deployments.
Built around an XGS-PON optical interface with BOSA on Board, the Adtran SDX 621 complies with ITU-T G.9807 XGS-PON standards and supports Class B+ and Class G XGS-PON optics. Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation, OMCI management, rolling counters, dying gasp alarm, and Power, LAN, Optical, and Voice LEDs provide operational and monitoring capabilities for access network deployments.
