Advantech EKI-1221-CE, 1-Port Industrial Serial Device Gateway
The Advantech EKI-1221-CE is an industrial serial device server designed to connect RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 serial equipment to Ethernet networks. It provides two 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 Ethernet ports and one DB9 male serial port for industrial communication applications.
The device supports Modbus RTU Client/Server and Modbus ASCII Client/Server operation, allowing serial devices to communicate across Ethernet networks. Configuration can be performed through a Windows utility or web browser, with baud rates from 50 to 921.6 Kbps.
Built for industrial environments, the EKI-1221-CE features a metal enclosure, IP30 protection, DIN-rail and wall mounting, and redundant dual DC power inputs. It operates from 12–48 VDC and supports reverse polarity protection.
The EKI-1221-CE supports a wide range of industrial certifications and environmental standards, including CE, FCC, IEC/EN 60950-1, UL 62368, Class 1 Division 2, IECEx, and ATEX. Its operating temperature range is -10°C to 60°C.
