Advantech EKI-1526-NI1A, 16-Port RJ45 Serial Device Server
The Advantech EKI-1526-NI1A is a 16-port serial device server designed to connect RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 serial equipment to Ethernet networks. Its 16 RJ45 serial ports support software-selectable serial standards and baud rates from 50 bps to 921.6 kbps.
The device provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports with Auto MDI/MDIX and built-in 1.5 KV magnetic isolation. It supports Virtual COM, TCP/UDP Server and Client, Pair Connection, and RFC2217 operation modes for flexible serial-to-Ethernet communication.
For secure network access, the EKI-1526-NI1A supports SSH Console and secure Virtual COM, TCP Server, TCP Client, and Pair Connection modes. Authentication options include user management, LDAP, and RADIUS, while management is supported through SNMP MIB-II.
The unit features a SECC metal chassis in a 1U 19-inch rack-mount design. It operates from 100–240 VAC, consumes 6.4 W, and supports an operating temperature range of -40°C to 70°C. Built-in watchdog and hardware reboot functions provide additional system management capability.
