When a single-board computer struggles to keep up with several high-resolution screens, heavy video streams or real-time data, the whole system feels sluggish and unreliable. The NXP i.MX8 QuadMax 8-Core Board is a compact, high-performance platform built to replace under-powered PCs or low-end boards in demanding industrial HMI, digital signage, edge-AI and automation projects. Its eight-core ARM Cortex-A72 processor, generous memory and extensive I/O give you the headroom you need for smooth multitasking and reliable operation.
Industrial environments often suffer from limited processing power, insufficient graphics capability and fragile connectivity. These shortcomings cause video stutter, dropped frames and delayed responses, which directly impact operator efficiency and system uptime. By integrating the NXP ARM Cortex-A72 i.MX8 QuadMax 1.6 GHz eight-core CPU, this board delivers the compute power required for high-definition graphics, fast video decoding and low-latency networking, ensuring your application runs smoothly even under heavy load.
The board fits naturally into a range of practical scenarios. It powers industrial human-machine interfaces that require dual-screen LVDS or HDMI output, delivering clear, responsive displays for operators on factory floors. Digital signage and video-wall installations benefit from its 4K @ 60 Hz playback capability, ensuring eye-catching content runs flawlessly. Edge-AI devices can run multiple neural networks concurrently, thanks to the ample CPU cores and dedicated video codecs. Robotics and automation controllers rely on its fast Ethernet and CAN bus to exchange data with sensors and actuators in real time.
Designed to operate from -40 °C to 60 °C and tolerate 5 %-95 % non-condensing humidity, the board meets CE/FCC Class B certifications, making it ready for harsh industrial settings. Its compact 70 mm × 70 mm form factor fits easily into enclosures, while the rich feature set lets you deliver high-quality, reliable solutions without compromise.

We are retiring PICOPC Products MNHO-073, MNHO-048 and MNHO-043 and they have reached EOL (End Of Life) as we are introducing new products with better technology. We would recommend you to look into MNHO-095. For Untangle, pfSense, OPNsense, Windows 11, Proxmox VE etc. we recommend MNHO-095 whereas for Sophos, Kerio Control and Endian, we would recommend MNHO-069. (A complete list of supported OS can be found in each product's listing)
