The Advantech Wireless ARUN-70L-WE is a C-Band Block Upconverter (BUC) designed to convert L-Band IF signals into an RF output for satellite communication systems. It accepts an IF input frequency range of 950 to 1850 MHz and provides an RF output frequency of 70 ± 20 MHz.
The unit provides a +10 dBm output power at P1dB and uses a synthesizer with a 10 Hz step size. The IF and RF interfaces use 50 Ohm impedance, with a BNC female input connector and Type-N female output connector as standard.
The ARUN-70L-WE provides 25 ±1 dB conversion gain at the maximum gain setting, with 25 dB of gain adjustment available in 0.1 dB steps. Gain flatness is specified at 0.7 dB peak-to-peak maximum over 40 MHz, while gain stability is ±0.25 dB maximum over 24 hours and ±1 dB over the operating temperature range.
The BUC features in-band spurious performance of -55 dBc carrier related at 0 dBm and a group delay of 10 to 15 ns peak-to-peak over 40 MHz. An optional group delay equalizer provides linear, parabolic, and ripple correction characteristics. Monitoring and control interfaces include RS-485, RS-232, discrete DB9 interfaces, and optional Ethernet.
The ARUN-70L-WE uses a 90 to 265 VAC power supply and typically consumes 40W per converter. It has a 1U rack-mount form factor measuring 482.6 × 44.5 × 558.8 mm and uses forced-air cooling. The unit supports an operating temperature of 0°C to +50°C, non-condensing humidity, and an altitude of up to 3,000 m AMSL.
