AudioCodes Mediant 800C E-SBC, 1GbE 1U VoIP Gateway
The AudioCodes Mediant 800C E-SBC is a 1U VoIP gateway designed for Ethernet-based IP telephony and voice networking applications. It provides wired connectivity through four 1000Base-T RJ-45 interfaces and supports SIP, RTP, and SRTP protocols for VoIP communications.
The Mediant 800C supports up to 400 signalling sessions and 400 RTP sessions, with capacity for up to 300 SRTP sessions, 114 registered transcoding sessions, and 2,000 registered users. This makes it suitable for business voice networks requiring managed SIP connectivity and voice session handling.
The gateway supports TCP/IP and UDP/IP networking protocols and provides remote management through SNMP, HTTPS, SSH, and CLI. Networking features include NAT, LDAP, VLAN, IPv4, IPv6, DiffServ, ToS, VLAN tagging, DoS and DDoS attack prevention, and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) capabilities.
For IP telephony applications, the Mediant 800C supports G.711, G.723.1, G.729, G.726, T.38, and G.722.2 voice codecs, along with DTMF generation and detection. TLS encryption and SSH and RADIUS authentication provide additional security options for networked voice deployments.
Its external 1U form factor and internal power supply make the Mediant 800C suitable for rack-based telecommunications, enterprise VoIP, and managed IP telephony environments. The unit operates from AC 120/230V at 50/60Hz and has an operating temperature range of 5°C to 40°C.
