The Beijer BoX2 pro SC is a high-performance IIoT gateway designed to connect industrial equipment with control, visualization, data, and cloud-based systems. It combines gateway functionality with integrated CODESYS control, allowing it to handle both communication and automation tasks within the same compact platform.
Protocol conversion and cloud connectivity help the gateway exchange information between different industrial systems and connected services. Its HMI web server provides web-based access to HMI functions, while local database storage can keep application data available within the system. C# scripting and an alarm server add further functions for application development and system monitoring.
The BoX2 pro SC uses an i.MX6DualLite Dual Cortex-A9 1.0GHz processor with 1 GB RAM and 2GB SSD(eMMC), 1.5GB free for application. CODESYS runtime 3.5 supports EtherCAT, Modbus Ethernet, and Modbus RTU, while non-volatile variables support automation applications that need retained process information.
For industrial communication, the gateway provides two 10/100 Base-T Ethernet ports, a 9-pin DSUB serial interface with RS 232, RS422/485 and RS 485 options, one CAN port, SD and SDHC support, and USB 2.0.
