The Comtech NetPerformer SDM-9120 is a multi-service satellite router designed to support voice, data, and digital channel connectivity in satellite networking environments. It provides flexible interfaces for different WAN and serial communication requirements in a compact standalone chassis.

The SDM-9120 supports up to 8 FXO/POTS or E&M, or 60 T1/E1 CAS/PRI digital channels per unit. It also provides up to three serial data ports, or one serial and four E1 data interfaces, supporting up to 124 logical ports.

For data connectivity, the unit supports data compression, with speeds of up to 8 Mbps per port or 2 Mbps per other ports when compression is disabled. With data compression enabled, speeds can reach up to 4 Mbps, with maximum speed dependent on protocol.

The router includes two 10/100Base-T Ethernet ports, one DSP connector per unit, and two expansion slots. Its serial interface supports user or link configurations and includes multiple supported protocols and clocking options.

The SDM-9120 is a standalone base unit designed for 19-inch rack mounting. It measures 1.75" x 17" x 12" (44 x 431 x 305 mm), weighs 4 lbs. (1.8 kg), and operates from 0° to 50°C with non-condensing humidity up to 95%.
