High Speed & Compact & Easy to Use
Compared to the VS Series, the arm size has become significantly smaller, achieving space-saving operations. Despite downsizing, the speed performance has improved, enabling cycle time reduction. New options that improve usability can be added, including: communication cable flange kits, the protected type (IP67) and external battery units.
Compact design
The robot's base installation area and arm width are compactly designed, enabling the robot to flexibly move even in a small space.
Added communication cable flange
A 17-wire signal cable and an Ethernet port are added to the tip of the flange (the sixth axis), which is an optional specification. This enables users to install an electric hand and camera at the tip of the flange without worrying about tangles or breakages in cables.
Improved environmental resistance
A type resistant to adverse environmental conditions (rated IP67) is newly added. This is suitable for use in the proximity of a processing machine that is heavily exposed to cutting water or powder or in an environment where robots need to be washed.
Options
Connector panelChoose from two mounting orientations when connecting cables (motor & encoder cable, etc.) to the robot for increased flexibility to accommodate the robot installation conditions.
FlangePlate mechanical interface has connectors for electrical signal lines and EtherNet, allowing wiring to be embedded in the robot unit.
Signal lines / Air pipe solenoid valveSignal lines and air pipe solenoid valves are embedded in the top of the second arm. Three varieties are available for VS-068 / 087 and one for VS-050 / 060.
Paint / Surface finish“If the protected type (IP67) is selected, the unit is left as aluminum.Standard paint is available in the special specification (option) when selecting IP67.”
External battery extension unitEncoder backup battery installed outside the robot. Facilitates replacement of batteries and improves maintainability.
Brake release unitA switch that allows you to release the brake of each axis (the wiring of this switch is directly connected to the brake release signal of each axis).
Air purge unitThe protected type (IP67) maintains an IP67 protect grade by air pressure produced inside the robot.
Second arm cover (Right- hand, with tapped holes)This cover has tapped holes to secure wires for the robot’s second arm.
