The water sensor detects water by measuring the increase in capacitance between two metal contacts at the point of contact. The robust plastic housing protects the sensor from corrosion. Unlike conventional metal-based sensors, it is permanently corrosion-resistant thanks to low operating voltages and a non-corrosive measurement method. This makes it ideal for long-term applications in leakage-prone environments. The sensor is compatible with all analog connections of the Didactum monitoring unit and is easy to integrate.
• Data centers: The sensor detects water leaks under raised floors or near critical equipment, thus preventing costly damage to IT infrastructure.
• Industrial plants: The sensor supports the monitoring of leakage-prone areas, e.g., around or under machines, boilers, heating systems, or piping systems.
• Residential and commercial spaces: For leak detection in kitchens, bathrooms, on boilers, and near household appliances such as washing machines and boilers.
• Water level sensor: The sensor detects whether the water has reached a certain level, for example in a collection tray.
