MPN #: ZDIGSYSPK18

When a boat operator wants to monitor onboard temperature, humidity, and air pressure, checking each location manually can make it difficult to understand changing conditions. The Digital Yacht ZDIGSYSPK18 combines the NAVLink Blue NMEA 2000 interface with a Ruuvi Standard wireless sensor so environmental information can be brought into a marine navigation system and viewed through a phone or tablet.

Digital Yacht ZDIGSYSPK18 NAVLink Blue Gateway with Ruuvi Standard Sensor

The Digital Yacht ZDIGSYSPK18 is a complete environmental monitoring system consisting of a NAVLink Blue NMEA 2000 BT interface and a Ruuvi wireless sensor. It is designed to reliably monitor temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure and make this information available through an NMEA 2000 navigation system.

The Ruuvi Standard sensor provides temperature measurement from -20 to +70°C, along with relative humidity, absolute humidity, and dew point information. Air pressure can also be monitored across a 500 to 1155 hPa range, with the data available in different pressure units. This makes the system useful for observing local environmental conditions around a vessel.

NAVLink Blue can connect up to 16 wireless Ruuvi sensors, allowing environmental monitoring at multiple locations rather than relying on a single sensor. This can be useful when different areas of a vessel need to be monitored separately, while the BT app provides historical analysis and graphs for reviewing collected environmental data.

The system also supports wireless configuration through a simple web interface. In BT mode, it automatically scans for nearby Ruuvi sensors for 30 seconds, while WiFi mode allows sensors to be added and configured through the web interface. The NAVLink Blue is self powered from the NMEA 2000 bus, reducing the need for a separate power source for the gateway.

The Ruuvi Standard sensor has an IPX7 waterproof rating and uses an internal 1000mAH CR2477 coin cell with approximately 1–2 years of normal operation. With 0.4 Hz data broadcasting, 5-minute data logging for 10 days, a built-in WiFi antenna, and an included 1m NMEA2000 drop cable, the ZDIGSYSPK18 provides a practical way to add wireless environmental monitoring to a connected marine navigation system.
