Edgecore AGR400 AS7946-30XB 2.4T Aggregation Router
The Edgecore AGR400 AS7946-30XB is a high-capacity 2.4T aggregation router designed for demanding data center, telecom, service provider, and enterprise network environments. It combines 1G/10G/25G SFP28, 100G QSFP28, and 100G/400G QSFP-DD interfaces to provide flexible high-speed connectivity for network aggregation and uplink applications.
The router supports 1GE, 10G, 40GE, and 100GE modes, with DAC breakout configurations supporting standard 1GE, 10GE, 25GE, and 50GE connectivity. Its support for 400GBASE-ZR/ZR+ optics also enables high-bandwidth optical networking for longer-distance and high-capacity deployments.
The AGR400 uses Broadcom BCM88823 Qumran-2C switch silicon with an Intel Xeon D-1548 8-Core processor. It includes 32GB DDR4 SO-DIMM memory, redundant SPI boot flash, a 128GB M.2 SSD, and an ASPEED AST2600 BMC, providing the processing and management resources required for demanding aggregation workloads.
Timing connectivity includes three RJ-45 BITS ports, one RJ-45 1PPS port, one SMB 1PPS output, and one SMB 10MHz input. These interfaces allow the router to integrate into network environments requiring timing and synchronization connectivity, while the front-panel management ports provide convenient system access and control.
With 2.4 Tb/s full-duplex capacity and 4Gb integrated deep buffering, the AGR400 is designed to handle high-volume network traffic. Its 2RU chassis includes hot-swappable 4+1 redundant fans and supports redundant AC or DC power supplies, making it suitable for rack-based network infrastructure requiring high-capacity connectivity and service continuity.
