Edgecore AGR420 AS7946-74XKSB 10G/25G 2.4T Aggregation Router
The Edgecore AGR420 AS7946-74XKSB is a high-capacity 10G/25G aggregation router designed for demanding network aggregation and high-speed connectivity environments. It provides 64 x 10G/25G SFP28 ports, 8 x 100G QSFP28 ports, and 2 x 100G QSFP-DD ports, delivering a flexible platform for enterprise, data center, telecom, and service provider networks.
The router supports 1GE, 10G, 40GE, and 100GE modes and provides standard 1GE, 10GE, 25GE, and 50GE configurations through DAC breakout cables. This allows network operators to adapt port configurations to different connectivity requirements while maintaining high-density aggregation in a compact 2RU chassis.
The AGR420 uses Broadcom BCM88820 Qumran-2C switch silicon with Broadcom BCM16K external TCAM and an Intel Xeon D-1548 8-Core processor. It includes 32GB DDR4 SO-DIMM memory, redundant SPI boot flash, a 128GB M.2 SSD, and an ASPEED AST2600 BMC for system management and monitoring.
Timing connectivity is provided through three RJ45 T12 or E12 input/output ports, an RJ45 ToD/PPS port, an SMB 1PPS output, and an SMB 10MHz input. These timing interfaces make the router suitable for network deployments where accurate synchronization and timing distribution are required.
With 2.4 Tb/s capacity, hot-swappable 4+1 redundant fans, and AC or DC power input options, the AGR420 is designed for high-throughput aggregation environments. Its 2RU form factor, 16 kg weight with PSUs and fans, and operating range of 0°C to 45°C support installation in standard rack-based network infrastructure.
