EdgeCore CSR300 AS7315-30X Intel Atom C3508 Open Cell Site Gateway Router
The EdgeCore CSR300 AS7315-30X is an open cell site gateway router designed for high-capacity telecom, mobile backhaul, and network aggregation deployments. It combines 1G, 10G, 25G, 40G, and 100G connectivity in a high-density platform, providing flexible interfaces for demanding service provider and cellular network environments.
Powered by an Intel Atom C3508 4-Core processor with 16GB DDR4-2400 memory, the CSR300 uses the Broadcom BCM88470 Qumran-AX switch silicon for high-throughput packet forwarding. It delivers 300 Gbps bidirectional switching capacity and a 300 Mpps packet processing rate, supporting large volumes of network traffic across multiple interfaces.
The router provides four 1G RJ45 ports, 16 SFP+ ports, eight SFP28 ports, and two QSFP28 ports. The QSFP28 interfaces can support 40/100GbE, breakout configurations for 10/25GbE, or 50GbE, allowing the platform to serve both access and high-speed aggregation requirements.
Dedicated management and timing interfaces include an RJ45 serial console, 1000BASE-T management Ethernet, USB storage, PPS input/output, and TOD input. A Stratum 3E compliant OCXO provides timing support, while the M.2 32GB SSD provides onboard storage for the system platform.
The CSR300 is built for telecom environments with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +65°C and 5% to 95% relative humidity. Its 440 × 300 × 44 mm chassis supports standard 19”, 21”, 23”, and ETSI 600 mm racks or cabinets as well as OCP 21-inch open racks, making it suitable for cell site gateways, mobile aggregation, carrier networks, and high-density edge deployments.
