Edgecore CSR310 AS7315-27X Intel Atom C3508 Open Cell Site Gateway Router
The Edgecore CSR310 AS7315-27X is an open cell site gateway router designed for high-capacity mobile backhaul, aggregation, and telecom network deployments. It provides a dense combination of 10GbE, 25GbE, and 100GbE interfaces in a compact 1RU platform, making it suitable for demanding network edge and cell site environments.
Powered by an Intel® Atom C3508 4-Core processor with 16G DDR4-2400 memory, the CSR310 uses Broadcom BCM88470 Qumran-AX switch silicon. It delivers 300 Gbps bidirectional switching capacity and a 300 Mpps packet processing rate, while stacked configurations can scale to 600 Gbps per node using two CSR310 systems.
The router provides 20 SFP+ ports supporting 1GbE or 10GbE, four SFP28 ports supporting 1GbE, 10GbE, or 25GbE, and three QSFP28 ports supporting 40/100GbE, 10/25GbE breakout, or 50GbE. This port combination provides flexible connectivity for cell site aggregation and high-speed network traffic.
The CSR310 also includes integrated GNSS and dedicated timing interfaces with PRTC ITU-T G.8272, PPS, TOD, and stacking clock input/output. Two of the three 100G QSFP28 ports can be used for stacking, with support for QSFP28 DAC up to 2m and AOC up to 30m, enabling high-capacity stacked deployments.
With a 440 × 300 × 44 mm chassis, the CSR310 can be installed in standard 19”, 21”, 23”, and ETSI 600 mm racks or cabinets as well as OCP 21” Open Racks. Its 300 W maximum power capacity and ONIE-based software platform with Open Network Linux compatibility make it suitable for open networking and carrier-grade cell site gateway applications.
