Emerson Rosemount™ 5408 Level Transmitter Non-Contacting Radar

The Emerson Rosemount™ 5408 Level Transmitter Non-Contacting Radar is designed for liquid level measurement in standard monitoring and control applications. It uses non-contacting radar technology to measure liquid levels without direct contact between the sensing technology and the process material.

The transmitter provides a standard performance class with ±2 mm accuracy and a range of up to 40 m. Its 4–20 mA signal output with HART7 supports integration with industrial monitoring and control systems for reliable level measurement.

The Rosemount 5408 features an aluminum housing with M20 × 1.5 cable conduit threads. Its process connection uses Alloy C-276 (UNS N10276), making the specified construction suitable for applications requiring this process connection material.

The transmitter is configured with a raised face flange process connection measuring 2-inch (DN50/50A) and rated to ASME B16.5 Class 150. The cone antenna uses a PTFE seal and is specified for –15 to 363 psig.

With its liquid level measurement capability, radar-based sensing, HART7 communication, and defined flange and antenna configuration, the Emerson Rosemount™ 5408 can be used for standard industrial monitoring and control applications where non-contacting level measurement is required.
