Traditional copper and legacy access networks can no longer deliver the bandwidth and performance that modern subscribers expect. Increasing network capacity often requires laying new fibre infrastructure, resulting in expensive and time-consuming civil engineering projects. Service providers need a way to expand bandwidth and support future growth without replacing existing network assets or repeatedly excavating established routes.
Deploy a fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) platform that supports GPON, XGS-PON, and next-generation PON technologies on the same optical distribution network. This approach enables operators to increase capacity by upgrading the electronics at each end of the network rather than replacing the fibre infrastructure itself. The result is a scalable, future-proof network that can grow with subscriber demand while minimizing disruption, deployment costs, and infrastructure investment.
The Fiber Access & FTTx Solution is built for operators and network builders who need to raise capacity per subscriber without re-digging the route or stranding the plant already in the ground. Designed for central offices operating at scale, this kit delivers fiber-to-the-premises on a modular platform that is ready for 25G and 50G PON, so capacity is lifted by changing the electronics at each end rather than the fiber between them. The passive plant is laid once, and the network is upgraded in place as demand grows.
Anchored by a Calix AXOS E7-2 Modular System at the central office, the kit terminates subscribers on a chassis whose capacity is set by the line cards installed in it rather than by a fixed port count. PON capacity is added a slot at a time as the catchment fills, and next-generation 25G and 50G PON is reached by populating the chassis rather than replacing it. The same platform carries multi-service traffic alongside residential subscribers, so a single central-office system serves the full mix instead of a separate platform per service type.
At the subscriber premises, the kit pairs the OLT with a matched Calix GigaPoint GP1101X ONU delivering 10GbE over XGS-PON for premium and business connections. The ONU terminates on the operator's existing passive splitter and feeder fiber, so the highest service tier is delivered over the same optical distribution network that carries every other tier. Keeping OLT and ONU within the Calix family guarantees interoperability and a single support path across the access link.
The optical distribution network the passive splitters, feeder and drop fiber remains the operator's existing outside plant, and the BNG and core sit above the OLT on the operator's own routing layer. The kit supplies the active electronics that light both ends of that fiber; everything civil and passive stays in place, untouched. The result is a clean, in-place capacity upgrade at central-office scale: subscribers move to 10-gigabit service, the chassis grows toward next-generation PON by the slot, and the operator adds capacity by swapping electronics rather than digging.

Operators running central offices at scale, networks where subscriber density and service mix will grow beyond a fixed-port platform, deployments that must reach 25G and 50G PON without replacing the central-office system, multi-service sites serving residential and business subscribers from one platform, brownfield access networks where the passive plant is already in the ground, and any builder seeking to raise capacity per subscriber by upgrading electronics in place rather than re-digging the route.

We are retiring PICOPC Products MNHO-073, MNHO-048 and MNHO-043 and they have reached EOL (End Of Life) as we are introducing new products with better technology. We would recommend you to look into MNHO-095. For Untangle, pfSense, OPNsense, Windows 11, Proxmox VE etc. we recommend MNHO-095 whereas for Sophos, Kerio Control and Endian, we would recommend MNHO-069. (A complete list of supported OS can be found in each product's listing)
