When operators need to monitor and control industrial equipment from a single interface, the HMI must provide enough screen space for process information while remaining reliable in demanding installation environments. A rugged panel also needs flexible communication interfaces and a touchscreen that is practical for frequent operator interaction.
The Exor eX715MH is a 15.6“ TFT HMI Panel PC with a Full HD 1920x1080 display and 16M colors. It combines the display, touchscreen, processing hardware, memory, storage, and industrial communication interfaces in one panel-mounted unit. This makes it suitable for applications where operators need a dedicated interface for viewing machine information, process status, alarms, and control functions.
The panel uses a True Glass Projected Capacitive, Multitouch touchscreen, providing direct and intuitive interaction with the HMI interface. Its 350 Cd/m2 brightness and dimming function allow the display to be adjusted for different operating conditions. The 64-bit RISC quad core processor running at 1.6 GHz, Linux operating system, 2 GB RAM, 4 GB eMMC pSLC flash, and 64 KB FRAM provide the computing resources for supported HMI applications.
For system connectivity, the eX715MH provides three Ethernet ports, two USB Host V2.0 ports, and a software-configurable serial interface supporting RS-232, RS-485, and RS-422. Plug-in modules can expand the serial connectivity to a maximum of three serial ports. Two expansion slots are also available for plug-in modules, while SD card support provides additional storage flexibility.
The panel is designed for industrial installations with a 24 Vdc power supply and electronic input protection. Its front is rated IP66 with Type 12, 4X protection, while the rear is IP20. The operating temperature is -20° to +60 °C with vertical installation, and the unit supports 5-85% RH non-condensing humidity. ATEX Zone 2/22, IECEx Zone 2/22, UL cULus Class 1 Div 2, DNV, and other approvals support its use in applications requiring specified industrial and hazardous-area certifications.
