When a JMobile or CODESYS-based system needs CAN communication but the host device does not have the required interface built in, an additional CAN interface can be needed without replacing the main controller or HMI. The Exor PLCM01-NE provides a compact plug-in solution for adding CAN communication to compatible Exor platforms.

Exor PLCM01-NE Plug-in module For CAN Communication

The Exor PLCM01-NE is a plug-in module designed for applications where CAN communication is required with JMobile or CODESYS runtime. It adds a dedicated CAN interface to compatible Exor products, allowing the host system to communicate with CAN-based equipment through a directly installed module.

The module supports CAN V2.0A and V2.0B and provides a maximum communication speed of 1 Mb. Its optical isolation helps separate the CAN interface electrically from the host system, making it suitable for industrial communication setups where reliable interface separation is important.

The module is compatible with Series 500, 500G, 600, eX and eXware platforms. This makes it suitable for expanding compatible HMI, controller, and edge system configurations when CAN communication is required with JMobile or CODESYS runtime.

For industrial installations, the module operates from -20°C to +60°C and provides IP20 protection. It also carries CE, UL cULus, Class I Div. 2, ATEX, IECEx, DNV-GL, LR, EU MR, and RCM approvals for use across supported industrial, hazardous-area, and marine-oriented applications.
