The Exor PLCM04 is a plug-in module designed to provide an additional serial communication port for systems using JMobile or CODESYS runtime. It adds RS-422/RS-485 communication directly to compatible Exor products, making it useful for connecting industrial devices that use these serial interfaces.
The module supports an RS-422/RS-485 interface with optical isolation. Optical isolation provides electrical separation between the communication interface and the host system, which can be useful in industrial installations where communication equipment may be exposed to electrical interference or different electrical potentials.
