When an industrial HMI, controller, or edge device needs remote connectivity, relying only on wired Ethernet can limit where and how the system can communicate. The Exor PLCM10 adds cellular connectivity through an LTE modem, with Wi-Fi and GNSS available on appropriate host hardware revisions, making it useful for connected industrial systems and remote installations.
Exor PLCM10 WiFi 4G LTE Modem Plug-In Module
The Exor PLCM10 is a plug-in communication module that provides 4G LTE cellular connectivity for compatible Exor systems. It supports multiple LTE FDD, LTE TDD, WCDMA, and GSM frequency bands, allowing the host device to connect through supported cellular networks in different regions.
The module provides LTE FDD transmission speeds of up to 150Mbps download and 50Mbps upload, while LTE TDD supports up to 130Mbps download and 35Mbps upload. It also supports UMTS and GSM data services, allowing communication across different cellular technologies supported by the module.
For system connectivity, the PLCM10 includes a 50Ω SMA-F female antenna connector and a microSIM slot. It also provides two optically isolated 24Vdc digital inputs and two optically isolated SSR digital outputs, allowing supported host systems to combine communication with basic external control and status functions.
Wi-Fi support is available when the hosting device has the appropriate hardware revision, with IEEE 802.11a/b/g supported. GNSS is also available on appropriate hardware revisions and supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou/Compass, Galileo, and QZSS for compatible positioning applications.
The PLCM10 is designed for industrial environments, with an operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, IP20 protection, and a compact 41.2x23.8x90.5 mm form factor. Its approvals include CE under Directive 2014/53/EU (RED), FCC Part 15 Class A, UL cULus, and Class 1 Div. 2.
