The Fortinet FortiGate 4800F FG-4800F-BDL-809-36 is a high-performance next-generation firewall designed for enterprise and data center network security. The 4RU rack-mount appliance combines high-speed hardware-accelerated interfaces with advanced firewall, IPS, threat protection, SSL inspection, and VPN capabilities. This bundle includes FortiCare Premium and FortiGuard Enterprise Protection for a 3-year term.
The FortiGate 4800F provides 3.1 Tbps IPv4 firewall throughput for 1518-byte and 512-byte UDP traffic and 0.93 Tbps for 64-byte UDP traffic. It delivers 87 Gbps IPS throughput, 75 Gbps threat protection throughput, 77 Gbps NGFW throughput, and 63 Gbps SSL inspection throughput. IPsec VPN throughput reaches 1800 Gbps, while SSL-VPN throughput is rated at 18 Gbps.
For high-density network connectivity, the appliance provides 8 hardware-accelerated 400GE/200GE/100GE/40GE QSFP-DD interfaces, 12 hardware-accelerated 200GE/100GE/40GE QSFP56/QSFP28/QSFP+ interfaces, and 8 hardware-accelerated 50GE/25GE/10GE/GE SFP interfaces. Four additional SFP high-availability and auxiliary slots provide further connectivity, alongside two 10GE/GE RJ45 management ports.
The FortiGate 4800F supports up to 280 million/1.8 billion concurrent TCP sessions and up to 915,000/25 million new TCP sessions per second. It also includes USB 3.0 and console ports for management and administration.
The 4RU chassis measures 175 × 435 × 663 mm and weighs 41.2 kg. It operates from 200–240V AC at 50/60Hz and features hot-swappable 2+2 redundant power supplies. Its high-performance architecture makes it suitable for demanding enterprise and data center environments requiring high-capacity network security and resilient operation.
