The Garmin Fusion Apollo MS-RA800 is a marine head unit designed to manage onboard entertainment from a central control interface. Its 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen color LCD provides access to audio sources, sound settings, and connected devices. The 800 x 480 resolution supports a clear display for selecting music and adjusting the system while aboard.
The built-in Class D amplifier delivers rated continuous power of 40 W x 4 at a 14.4 V input with 4-ohm speakers and less than 1% THD. Its Multi-Zone technology supports four audio zones, allowing sound to be managed across different areas of the vessel. Speaker connections, RCA pre-outs, line outputs, and subwoofer outputs provide options for connecting speakers and external amplification.
For flexible listening, the head unit supports AM, FM, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, HDMI ARC, USB audio, iPhone, iPod, and two auxiliary inputs. USB playback supports MP3, M4A (AAC/ALAC), FLAC, and WAV formats. Bluetooth 5.3 provides wireless audio connectivity, while built-in Wi-Fi supports networked functions and compatible wireless connections.
The MS-RA800 includes built-in digital signal processing (DSP), with custom DSP profile setup using the Garmin Audio app. Stereo networking works through wired or wireless connections, and audio can be controlled through compatible multifunction displays, smart devices, and Garmin watches. Software updates are available over the air through the Garmin Audio app or by USB, helping keep the system updated.
Designed for marine installation, the head unit supports a 10.8 to 32 VDC power input and operates between 0° C and 50° C. The control surface has IPX6 and IPX7 ratings when properly installed, while the rear has an IPX3 rating. With NMEA 2000 connectivity, Ethernet, USB-C, HDMI ARC, and dedicated audio connections, it can serve as a central entertainment component for compatible onboard systems.
