Gilat SKYEDGE II-C Capricorn-4 S2X Multi-band VSAT Terminal
The Gilat SKYEDGE II-C Capricorn-4 S2X Multi-band VSAT Terminal is designed for high-performance satellite connectivity across C, Ku, and Ka frequency bands. It supports DVB-S2X forward links and flexible return-channel technologies for broadband, enterprise, cellular backhaul, and other satellite network applications.
The forward channel uses DVB-S2X Adaptive Coding and Modulation with carrier rates from 1.5 Msps to 500 Msps. It supports QPSK, 8PSK, 16APSK, 32APSK, 64APSK, and 256APSK modulation with LDPC and BCH coding and all DVB-S2X FECs.
For return connectivity, the terminal supports MF-TDMA with dynamic channels and symbol rates from 128 Ksps to 30 Msps. BPSK, QPSK, and 16QAM modulation provide flexible options for different return-channel requirements, while spread-spectrum FEC supports multiple spreading factors.
The Capricorn-4 also supports DVB-S2 ACM SCPC return channels with carrier rates from 1.5 Msps to 40 Msps. Built-in IP features include IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, NAT/PAT, DHCP, DNS caching, RIP, static routes, IGMPv2, SIP, and DiffServ, while QoS functions support CIR, MIR, CBR, priority-based queuing, and application-based priority.
The terminal provides four Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, web-based management, SNMP, remote software upgrades, AES-256 link encryption, IPSEC, firewall functions, and X.509 terminal authentication. Its compact indoor unit supports automatic AC and DC input ranges and can operate with outdoor units covering C, Ku, and Ka bands.
