Grandstream GXW4248-v2 FXS VoIP Gateway, 48 FXS Ports
Grandstream GXW4248-v2 is a high-density FXS VoIP Gateway designed to connect traditional analog telephones and fax devices to IP-based voice networks. It provides 48 independent telephone ports through two 50-pin Telco connectors and a Gigabit Ethernet network interface for business voice deployments.
The GXW4248-v2 supports SIP signaling over UDP, TCP, and TLS and provides four distinct SIP server profiles per system with an independent SIP account for each telephone port. This enables flexible integration with SIP-based communication platforms and supports scalable voice connectivity for offices and other organizations.
For reliable voice transmission, the Grandstream VoIP Gateway supports G.711, G.723.1, G.726-32, G.729, G.722, iLBC, and Opus codecs. Carrier-grade line echo cancellation, dynamic jitter buffering, and flexible DTMF transmission help maintain voice quality, while DiffServ, ToS, and 802.1P/Q VLAN tagging provide network traffic management options.
The gateway also supports T.38 Group 3 Fax Relay up to 14.4 kbps and automatic switching to G.711 for fax pass-through. Telephony functions include caller ID, call waiting, call transfer, call forwarding, do not disturb, 3-way conferencing, last call return, paging, message waiting indication, and auto dial for convenient business communications.
Security and management features include SRTP, TLS/SIPS, HTTPS with AES-128 encryption, SecureBoot, secure provisioning, and random administrator passwords. The GXW4248-v2 can be managed through a web browser, HTTPS, SSH, voice prompts, TR-069, Syslog, and GDMS, while its 1U rack-mountable design provides convenient installation in professional network environments.
