Huawei EchoLife HG8310M is a compact bridging-type Optical Network Terminal designed for GPON fiber access and Ethernet connectivity. It provides a 1GE Ethernet port and supports GPON Class B+ optical access, making it suitable for broadband deployments requiring a simple and efficient fiber-to-Ethernet connection.
The HG8310M supports GPON upstream and downstream wavelengths of 1310 nm and 1490 nm, respectively, along with flexible GEM Port and TCONT mapping, GPON authentication, bidirectional FEC, and SR-DBA and NSR-DBA. These capabilities support efficient optical network access for residential and small-scale broadband applications.
Its Ethernet functionality includes VLAN tagging, 1:1 VLAN, N:1 VLAN, QinQ VLAN, VLAN transparent transmission, MAC address learning, and Ethernet port-based switching or isolation. QoS features such as Ethernet port rate limitation, 802.1p priority, SP/WRR/SP+WRR scheduling, and broadcast packet rate limitation help manage network traffic efficiently.
The Huawei EchoLife HG8310M includes MAC address filtering and power-saving functions that reduce power consumption through indicator and idle-component management. Its multicast capabilities include IGMP v2/v3 snooping, MLD v1/v2 snooping, and fast leave, supporting efficient multicast traffic handling in compatible network environments.
For network management and maintenance, the HG8310M supports OMCI and Web UI management, dual-system software backup and rollback, Ethernet OAM, optical link measurement and diagnosis, loopback checks, and rogue ONT detection and isolation.
