Huawei OptiXstar P885E-10 XGS-PON Pro PoE Optical Network Unit
Huawei OptiXstar P885E-10 is an XGS-PON Pro PoE Optical Network Unit designed for high-speed fiber access and advanced Ethernet connectivity. It provides 2 XGS-PON Pro NNI ports and 24 2.5GE UNI ports, supporting PoE, PoE+, and PoE++ for connected network devices.
The 2.5GE RJ-45 ports support automatic 10/100/1000/2500 Mbit/s speeds and Ethernet features including VLAN tagging, tag removal, transparent transmission, and VLAN filtering. PoE++ ports can deliver up to 60 W per port, making the unit suitable for powering compatible network equipment directly through Ethernet connections.
With support for up to 520 W total PoE output using a 600 W power supply at 200–240 V AC, the Huawei OptiXstar P885E-10 can support deployments requiring high-density powered Ethernet connectivity. Its applications include enterprise access networks, fiber-based campus networks, business connectivity, and network environments with multiple PoE-powered devices.
The unit provides multiple security functions, including MAC authentication, 802.1x authentication, MAB authentication, DoS and ARP attack protection, MAC and IP address binding, device access control, and ONU port-level hard isolation. These capabilities help support secure network access and controlled connectivity across different ports and networks.
Designed for rack-based deployment, the Huawei OptiXstar P885E-10 supports 19-inch cabinet or rack installation and uses fan-based heat dissipation. Its XGS-PON Pro interface provides RX and TX transmission rates of 12.44 Gbit/s, while Type B and Type C protection options and PON upstream load sharing support network resilience and availability.
