Hughes HL1120W OneWeb LEO User Terminal
The Hughes HL1120W is a OneWeb LEO user terminal designed to provide high-speed satellite connectivity for locations that need reliable broadband access beyond traditional terrestrial networks. It combines an outdoor satellite unit with an indoor networking unit to deliver an integrated solution for connecting users and local network equipment to the OneWeb satellite constellation.
The terminal supports a peak downlink data rate of 195 Mbps and a peak uplink data rate of 32 Mbps. Its RF design operates across 14.0 to 14.5 GHz for transmission and 10.7 to 12.7 GHz for reception, supporting communication with the LEO satellite network while providing high-speed IP connectivity for connected devices.
The HL1120W outdoor unit provides +36.6 dBW EIRP with dual carrier operation and up to 11.3 dBK G/T. These capabilities support satellite broadband applications where dependable connectivity is needed for remote offices, distributed sites, enterprise networks, and locations with limited terrestrial infrastructure.
The indoor unit includes a Wi-Fi 6 router with two GigE LAN ports, providing local wired connectivity for network devices. Its MoCA adapter supports Ethernet over coax, while the system can use an IFL cable up to 30.5 m with RG-6 dual coax, with RG-11 dual coax available for longer distances.
With an operating temperature range of -40°C to +55°C and a 235 W typical outdoor unit power requirement, the HL1120W is designed for outdoor satellite connectivity deployments across a wide range of environmental conditions. OneWeb network features include IP connectivity, differentiated QoS, and multi-APN support, with optional Wi-Fi 6 for local wireless networking.
