The iDirect MDM2510 is a compact satellite modem designed for reliable broadband satellite communication and flexible network deployment. It features F-Type 75 Ohm connectors for both transmit and receive interfaces and supports L-band and S-band operation. The modem provides four Gigabit Ethernet ports for connecting network equipment and integrating satellite connectivity into enterprise and remote communication networks.

The MDM2510 supports multiple satellite network technologies, including DVB-S2X, DVB-S2, Mx-DMA, MRC, HRC, and MF-TDMA. This range of configurations allows the modem to be used across different satellite network architectures and bandwidth requirements. It supports modulation options including QPSK, 8PSK, 16APSK, 32APSK, 64APSK, and 4CPM depending on the selected network configuration.

The transmit interface supports L-band frequencies from 950 to 2400 MHz with an adjustable TX level from -55 dBm to +5 dBm. S-band operation covers 2750 to 3000 MHz with a 0 dBm TX level. The modem also provides a 10/50 MHz BUC reference and a 24V, 2.5A BUC power supply, supporting integration with compatible satellite transmission equipment.

For reception, the MDM2510 provides an L-band interface covering 950 to 2150 MHz with an input level range of -65 to -25 dBm. LNB power and band selection are supported through 13/18V and 22kHz tone functions. These features help simplify integration with satellite antenna and RF equipment while supporting different LNB configurations.

The modem provides support for common networking protocols including UDP, IPv4, IPv6, ICMP, TCP, IGMP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, NTP, BGP, NAT, and DiffServ marking. A multilingual web GUI enables configuration and management through a configurable management IP address. With a compact 21 cm x 18 cm x 3.5 cm chassis, 0.9 kg weight, and 21W maximum modem power consumption, the MDM2510 is suitable for enterprise, remote site, broadband satellite, and professional VSAT network applications.
