When a computer has to operate onboard a vessel or in other maritime environments, ordinary desktop systems may not provide the required combination of compact construction, reliable connectivity, and resistance to vibration and temperature changes. The Intronix XTB-254606D1 is a maritime fanless PC designed for space-conscious industrial and marine installations where dependable computing and multiple equipment interfaces are required.

The system uses an Intel® Core™ i7-1365UE processor with support for up to 64GB of DDR5 memory through two SO-DIMM slots. Its fanless design helps avoid moving cooling parts, while the aluminum alloy enclosure provides a compact platform for onboard computing, monitoring, control, and other marine applications.

Storage can be configured with an M.2 NVMe PCIe x4 SSD as well as two removable 2.5" SSD drive bays supporting RAID 0, RAID 1, and hot-swap functionality. This gives the system flexible storage options for applications that require additional capacity or storage redundancy. Intel® UHD Graphics and two DP++ outputs support display connectivity, with each display output supporting up to 4K.

The XTB-254606D1 provides extensive communication and industrial I/O options, including four 2.5GbE LAN ports, NMEA0183 interfaces, configurable serial ports, isolated digital I/O, optional CAN bus, USB ports, and expansion slots for wireless, cellular, and GNSS functions. These interfaces allow the PC to connect with navigation equipment, onboard devices, control systems, networks, and other marine electronics.

Designed for demanding operating conditions, the PC supports 9 to 36 VDC input and AT/ATX power modes, with an operating temperature range of -20°C to 60°C and storage temperature from -40°C to 85°C. Its marine-oriented certifications and standards include CE, FCC, EMC, IEC 60945/61162-1/2, and IACS E10 (Pending), making it suitable for maritime computing installations where rugged connectivity and dependable operation are important.
