Kontron ME1210, Intel Xeon D-2100 1U High Performance Edge Server
The Kontron ME1210 is a 1U high-performance edge server designed for telecom, networking, and demanding edge computing environments. It uses Intel Xeon D-2100 processors with Skylake architecture and supports Intel QuickAssist Technology (QAT), Intel AVX-512, and Intel Virtualization Technology for efficient processing and virtualization workloads.
The server supports up to 512GB of DDR4 memory through eight DIMM sockets and four memory channels running at up to 2667 MHz. Storage is provided through two M.2 slots supporting SATA or NVMe drives, with RAID 1 support for data redundancy.
For high-speed networking, the ME1210 provides flexible SFP28/SFP+ configurations, including up to 25GbE connectivity, along with integrated 10GbE connections through the Xeon D-2100 X722 controller. It also supports advanced timing and synchronization features such as SyncE and PTP.
Designed for telecom and edge deployments, the server supports GNSS input, 1PPS output, Master and Boundary Clock modes, and an optional OCXO for extended hold-over requirements. Its compact 1U design fits standard 19-inch racks, while the -40°C to 65°C operating temperature range supports demanding environments.
