Lowrance HDS PRO 12, 12" Multifunction Display with Active Imaging HD

When a boat operator needs navigation, sonar, radar, autopilot, charting, and vessel information in one screen, using separate displays can make the helm more complicated and harder to manage. The Lowrance HDS PRO 12 is designed as a multifunction marine display that brings these functions together while also providing Active Imaging HD sonar capabilities.

The Lowrance HDS PRO 12 is a 12-inch multifunction display designed to serve as a central control and information screen for a marine electronics system. Its 1280 x 800 resolution, more than 1200-nit brightness, and wide 80° viewing angles help keep navigation and system information visible from different positions around the helm.

The touchscreen interface combines full multi-touch operation with an 8-way directional keypad, zoom controls, menu and waypoint keys, and four programmable quick-access keys. This gives the operator different ways to control the display depending on the task, while the bright display is useful for viewing charts, sonar information, radar overlays, and vessel data during daylight operation.

The HDS PRO 12 also works as a sonar display with integrated support for CHIRP Broadband, Active Imaging DownScan, Active Imaging SideScan, Active Imaging HD DownScan, and Active Imaging HD SideScan. It can also connect with compatible systems such as ActiveTarget, ActiveTarget2, S3100 SonarHub, StructureScan, StructureScan HD, StructureScan 3D, and LiveSight with the required module. This allows the display to present detailed information about underwater structure and surrounding conditions.

For navigation and vessel integration, the unit supports C-MAP and Navionics chart options, GPS/GLONASS with WAAS/EGNOS/MSAS, AIS chart and radar overlays, and a wide range of NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 data. It can also work with compatible autopilot systems and trolling motors, while Ethernet networking supports up to six MFDs on a network. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi provide additional connectivity for compatible marine electronics.

The display is designed for marine environments with an IPX7 waterproof rating when the card door is closed, an operating temperature range of -15°C to 55°C, and a 12 VDC supply suitable for typical marine electrical systems. Two micro SD card slots, 8 GB of internal storage, multiple charting options, and a range of mounting configurations make the HDS PRO 12 suitable for use as a central multifunction display on recreational and working vessels.
