The Milesight HL31 is a Wi-Fi HaLow gateway designed to provide long-range wireless connectivity using IEEE 802.11ah technology. It combines a quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A35 processor with 256 MB DDR3 memory and 4 GB eMMC flash for reliable gateway operation.

The Wi-Fi HaLow interface operates in the 850~950 MHz frequency range and supports 1 × 1 connectivity with channel bandwidths from 1 to 8 MHz. It provides data rates of up to 32 Mbps, with WPA3-SAE security and a maximum transmit power of 21dBm.

An optional cellular interface supports 4G LTE CAT 4, WCDMA, and GSM networks. The gateway also provides one RJ45 WAN port with 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, along with USB Type-C for power supply and console functions. PoE input is also supported through a PoE splitter.

The HL31 includes a wide range of network and management functions, including PPPoE, SNMP, DHCP, DDNS, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, SSH, firewalls, VPN tunnels, WAN failover, diagnostics tools, and multiple configuration methods. These features make it suitable for connected device and network gateway deployments.

With IP30 protection, a compact PC + ABS housing, and support for desktop, wall, or ceiling mounting, the HL31 can be deployed in various indoor environments. It operates from -20°C to +50°C and offers typical power consumption of 3.9 W and maximum power consumption of 5.2 W.
