Moxa NPort 5650-8, 8-Port RS-232/422/485 Rackmount Device Server
The Moxa NPort 5650-8 is an 8-port serial device server designed to connect RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 serial equipment to Ethernet networks. It provides eight RJ45 serial ports and one 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet port with built-in 1.5 kV magnetic isolation protection.
The serial interface supports standard baud rates from 50 bps up to 921.6 kbps, with configurable data bits, stop bits, parity, and flow control. RS-485 communication includes automatic data direction control, selectable pull high/low resistors, and a 120-ohm terminator.
The NPort 5650-8 supports Real COM, TCP Client, TCP Server, UDP, Ethernet Modem, Pair Connection, Reverse Telnet, RFC2217, and Disabled operation modes. Management options include Telnet Console, Web Console through HTTP/HTTPS, and Windows Utility.
Security features include HTTPS with TLS 1.2, SNMPv3, AES-128, RSA-1024, SHA-1, SHA-256, and local database authentication. The device also supports IPv4, SNMP, DHCP, DNS, LLDP, SMTP, TCP/IP, UDP, and other network protocols.
Designed for rack-based deployments, the unit has a metal housing and supports 19-inch rack mounting. It includes an LCD panel and push buttons for configuration, built-in WDT for automatic reboot, and operates from 0 to 60°C.
