The NetApp AFF A250 uses an active-active dual-controller configuration in a 2U controller form factor and supports up to 2 to 24 nodes, or 12 HA pairs, per cluster. A cluster can support up to 576 SSDs and a maximum effective capacity of 35PB.

The system provides a wide selection of connectivity options. Each active-active dual-controller system includes 16 x 32Gb autoranging FC target ports, 4 x 100GbE ports with 40GbE autoranging, 20 x 25GbE ports with 10GbE autoranging, 4 x 10Gbase-T ports with 1GbE autoranging, and 8 x 12Gb/6Gb SAS ports. The system also supports NS224 and DS224C shelves and runs ONTAP 9.8 RC1 or later.
