Nokia Lightspan DF-16GM 16-port GPON Mini 1RU Optical Line Terminal (OLT)
The Nokia Lightspan DF-16GM is a compact 1RU Optical Line Terminal designed as a full-service platform for high-performance fiber access networks. It supports multiservice access including IPTV services, multimedia service, high-speed internet access, business access, and cell-site backhaul.
The Lightspan DF-16GM provides 16-port GPON connectivity, while its 8-port multi-PON support enables GPON, XGS-PON, and multi-PON mode operation. The platform is also hardware ready for 4-port 25GS-PON, supporting network evolution and future fiber access requirements.
For network aggregation, the Nokia Lightspan DF-16GM features 1 x 100 GigE uplink through a QSFP28 cage and 4 x 1 or 10 GigE uplinks through SFP+ cages. Its 200 Gb/s bidirectional switching matrix provides high-capacity traffic handling for demanding access network deployments.
The OLT is fully managed by the Nokia Altiplano Access Controller and supports AC or DC powering. Field-replaceable AC or DC power modules and DC+DC power redundancy provide flexible power configurations for different deployment environments.
Designed for demanding operating conditions, the Nokia Lightspan DF-16GM operates from -40°C to +65°C. It includes over-temperature sensors and shutdown protection, a replaceable low-noise fan module, and a dust filter, while its compact 444 mm × 274 mm × 44 mm 1RU chassis is suitable for space-efficient network installations.
