The NSI KSML92S0001-W-MC1 is a US Qwerty desktop ECDIS keyboard designed for marine control and navigation environments. It features 92 short travel switches with a tactile feel, providing a compact keyboard layout with an integrated 50 mm optical trackball for pointing control.

The keyboard has IP67 sealing and uses switches with 0,3 mm travel and 2,55 N operating force. The integrated pointing device uses a 50 mm optical trackball with an epoxy resin ball. A 1,6m USB cable with a type A connector provides the keyboard output, while power is supplied directly from the USB port.

The keyboard uses a black polyester front layer with embossed keys that is scratch and chemical resistant. Its removable 50 mm optical trackball provides pointing control, while high brightness LEDs with fibre optics support the keyboard illumination. The backlighting is dimmable at 8 levels through two dedicated keys.

The NSI KSML92S0001-W-MC1 also provides intelligent luminosity setting for the “numlock” and “capslock” LEDs. Illumination is provided for the key legends and contour, the trackball contour, and even customer logo’s or trademarks. Low power LEDs are used for long life, and no external power supply is necessary.

The keyboard is mounted in a robust, all steel enclosure with an industrial epoxy coating in mid-grey. It has a compact desktop design measuring 418 x 246 x 70 mm and weighs 3,5 kg. The keyboard is fully compliant with IEC60945 and provides IP67 sealing for marine ECDIS and other demanding control environments.
