NXP 8MPLUSLPD4-EVK, i.MX 8M Plus, 6GB LPDDR4 Evaluation Kit
The NXP 8MPLUSLPD4-EVK Evaluation Kit is designed for developers and engineers building embedded computing solutions that require efficient processing, multimedia capabilities, and AI acceleration. Based on the NXP i.MX 8M Plus Quad applications processor, it provides a flexible platform for developing intelligent devices used in industrial automation, smart vision, connected equipment, and edge computing applications.
With four Arm Cortex-A53 cores operating at up to 1.8 GHz, an Arm Cortex-M7 core, a HiFi4 DSP, and a Neural Processing Unit, this evaluation kit supports a range of processing workloads. Developers can explore machine learning applications, real-time control, audio processing, and computer vision while evaluating system performance for their intended designs.
The kit includes 6 GB LPDDR4 memory, 32 GB eMMC 5.1 storage, and 32 MB QSPI NOR flash to support software execution, application storage, and development activities. Its display and camera interfaces make it suitable for prototyping smart cameras, vision-based systems, human-machine interfaces, and multimedia devices that require connections to compatible display panels and image sensors.
For connected embedded applications, the board provides dual Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, USB connectivity, a PCIe M.2 interface, and CAN connectors. These interfaces support development for industrial communication, connected devices, networking applications, and systems that need to exchange data with sensors, peripherals, or other equipment.
