Oscilloquartz OSA 5405-MB GNSS Receiver & PTP Grandmaster Gateway
The Oscilloquartz OSA 5405-MB is a multi-band GNSS receiver and PTP grandmaster gateway designed for accurate network timing and synchronization. It combines GNSS positioning, precision timing, PTP services, NTP, and network management in a compact device for telecom, enterprise, power, and broadcast environments.
The receiver supports L1 + L5 GNSS bands across GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, and NavIC constellations. With accuracy of ±40 ns from UTC, it provides a reliable timing reference for applications that require precise synchronization across network infrastructure.
The OSA 5405-MB supports IEEE 1588-2008 PTP grandmaster, boundary, and slave clocks, with ITU-T G.8265.1, G.8275.1, G.8275.2, Power, Broadcast, and Enterprise profiles. IPv4 and IPv6 can be supported simultaneously, while 1-step and 2-step clock operation provides flexibility for different timing network designs.
For network connectivity, the gateway provides a combo 100/1000BaseT copper or 1000BaseX SFP fiber port and supports SM/MM colored or non-colored SFP and single fiber SFP. SyncE input to PTP output frequency conversion, Stratum 1 NTP service, and up to 500,000 NTP transactions per second help support demanding synchronization and timing applications.
The device includes an OCXO Stratum 3E internal oscillator, IPv4 and IPv6 in-band management, Telnet and SSH remote CLI, and jamming and spoofing detection. Its IP66 enclosure, -40 to +70°C operating temperature, 3W maximum power consumption, and wall-mount or pole-mount installation make it suitable for outdoor and network timing deployments.
