Perle IOLAN STS16 Secure Terminal Server
The Perle IOLAN STS16 is a 16-port secure terminal server designed for reliable wired network connectivity and remote management of serial devices. It provides 16 RS-232 ports through RJ-45 connectors along with a Gigabit Ethernet network interface.
The STS16 supports full-duplex communication and wired connectivity using Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, and RS-232. It provides a data transfer rate of up to 230 Kbps and supports ICMP/IP, TCP/IP, and UDP/IP network standards.
For secure remote access and administration, the terminal server supports HTTP, SNMP, and Telnet management. Its authentication options include CHAP, Kerberos, LDAP, PAP, RADIUS, SSH, SSH2, SecurID, TACACS+, and X.509 certificates.
The device also supports multiple encryption technologies, including AES, Blowfish, DES, Triple DES, SSL, MD5, ARCFOUR, ARCTWO, CAST, 128-bit WEP, and 256-bit WPA. IPv6, DHCP, BOOTP, and IP address filtering provide additional network management capabilities.
With a 1U rack-mount form factor, internal power supply, and dimensions of 17.1 x 10.4 x 1.7 inches, the Perle IOLAN STS16 is suitable for rack-based serial device networking and secure remote terminal access.
