Planet Technology ICS-110, 100m 1-Port RS232/422/485 Serial Device Server
The Planet Technology ICS-110 is a 1-port serial device server designed to connect RS232, RS422, and RS485 serial equipment to an Ethernet network. It provides a practical solution for remote serial device access while supporting both 2-wire and 4-wire RS485 communication.
The serial interface uses one DB9 male port and supports baud rates from 50bps to 921Kbps. Users can select 5, 6, 7, or 8 data bits, 1, 1.5, or 2 stop bits, and multiple parity options. RS232 also supports RTS/CTS and DTR/DSR flow control, along with XON/XOFF.
For network connectivity, the ICS-110 features one RJ45 Ethernet port supporting 10/100BASE-TX with a transmission distance of up to 100 meters. It also provides 6KV ESD protection and supports IPv4 and IPv6 for flexible network deployment.
The device supports several operating modes, including TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP Client, Virtual COM, RFC2217, Telnet Server, Pair Connection, and Modbus converter server/client. Management is available through Web management, Telnet Console, Windows-based VCOM Utility, SNMP, UNI-NMS, and PLANET Smart Discovery Utility.
With its metal housing and compact 94 x 70.3 x 26.2mm design, the ICS-110 can be installed as a standalone unit, wall-mounted, or with an optional DIN-rail kit. It operates from -10 to 60°C and supports 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity.
