Storage environments that need fast connectivity, large memory capacity, and flexible expansion require a NAS with strong hardware options. The QNAP QAI-h1290FX combines an AMD EPYC™ 7302P processor with 16 cores and 32 threads, 128 GB RDIMM DDR4 ECC memory, and 12 drive bays in a tower form factor. The system supports up to 1 TB of memory through eight RDIMM DDR4 slots.

The 12 drive bays support 2.5-inch SATA solid state drives and 2.5-inch U.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 x4 solid state drives. The system is shipped without SSDs. Four PCIe slots provide additional expansion options, including three PCIe Gen 4 x16 slots and one PCIe Gen 4 x8 slot. The QNAP QAI-h1290FX also provides 2 x 25GbE SFP28 SmartNIC ports and 2 x 2.5GbE ports.

The system is shipped without SSDs, allowing the supported storage configuration to be selected separately.

For network connectivity, the NAS includes 2 x 25GbE SFP28 SmartNIC ports and 2 x 2.5GbE ports supporting 2.5G/1G/100M/10M. Wake on LAN is supported on the 2.5GbE port. The system also provides 3 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for the specified USB connectivity.
