Ribbon SBC 7000, 10GbE, 5U Enterprise Session Border Controller
The Ribbon SBC 7000 is an enterprise Session Border Controller designed for high-capacity voice and communications networking environments. Its 5U rack-mount form factor provides a scalable platform with 10Gbps Ethernet media connectivity, dedicated high-availability interfaces, management ports, and modular DSP expansion.
The SBC 7000 provides four 10Gbps Ethernet fiber media ports using SFP interfaces, along with two 10Gbps Ethernet fiber high-availability ports. Two GigE management ports support RJ-45, SFP-LC-MM, and SFP-LC-SM connectivity, while a dedicated field service port, serial craft port, and alarm interface provide additional management and service options.
The modular DSP slots allow DSP expansion, while the replaceable filter and adjustable 19-inch or 23-inch mounting brackets support installation and maintenance in enterprise and telecommunications infrastructure. Status, alarm, active, locator, and power LEDs provide front-panel system indicators.
The appliance can be deployed in demanding enterprise and communications environments where high-speed media connectivity, network management, and high availability are required. Its 10GbE media and high-availability interfaces make it suitable for high-bandwidth voice and session networking infrastructure.
The SBC 7000 supports AC or DC power configurations. The AC option operates from a nominal 200–240VAC input, while the DC option supports a nominal 48VDC input. The chassis is designed for operating temperatures of 5°C to 40°C and short-term temperatures from -5°C to 55°C, with 5% to 90% non-condensing operating humidity.
