Sierra Wireless AirLink XR60 Ultra-compact Rugged 5G and Wi-Fi 6 Cellular Router
The Sierra Wireless AirLink XR60 is an ultra-compact rugged cellular router designed for 5G connectivity and demanding deployment environments. It supports global 5G cellular technology with theoretical peak downlink speeds of 2800 Mbps and peak uplink speeds of 900 Mbps.
The XR60 provides flexible wired connectivity depending on the selected variant. The dual Ethernet version includes 1 Gbps and 5 Gbps Ethernet ports, while the Serial/Ethernet variant provides 1 Gbps Ethernet with dual RS-232/485 serial connectivity. It also includes USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C with Power Delivery and 5 Gbps LAN networking.
An optional Wi-Fi 6 interface provides dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz connectivity with 2x2 MIMO, up to 1200 Mbps theoretical peak throughput, and support for up to 32 clients. The router also includes dual-band 40-channel GNSS, dual SIM support, and 1 GPIO for supported configurations.
The XR60 is built for harsh environments with an IP64 sealed aluminum housing, a -40°C to +75°C operating temperature range, and 95% RH at 60°C humidity rating. It also supports MIL-STD-810H requirements for shock, vibration, thermal shock, and humidity, with additional hazardous-environment certifications.
For networking and security, the router provides IPv4 and IPv6 routing, NAT, firewall, port forwarding, DHCP, IP passthrough, policy-based routing, QoS, and IPsec VPN. AirLink OS and AirLink Management Service provide router management, while edge computing support allows Docker containerized applications through licensed AirLink Management Service functionality.
