The Smartoptics DCP-R-34D-CS is a 1RU 34-degree Flex ROADM and open line system designed for ring and meshed networks. It supports both NRZ and coherent optical technologies for flexible network architectures.

The system supports coherent QPSK, 8QAM, and 16QAM encodings, along with 400ZR and 800G. NRZ operation is also supported, with dispersion limited by the selected optics, providing flexibility for different optical transport requirements.

For optical connectivity, the DCP-R-34D-CS provides one line input/output port, 34 add-drop/cross connect ports, and a 1510nm input/output port for OSC. All optical ports use LC connectors, while front-panel serial and local craft interfaces provide local access.

Network management is supported through CLI, SSH, SNMPv2c, SNMPv3, NETCONF, NTP, SFTP, Syslog, RADIUS, and TACACS+. Traffic hitless software upgrades support software maintenance while minimizing traffic disruption.

The 1RU chassis measures 440mm x 510mm and weighs 9.3 Kg with two PSUs. It features dual hot-swappable power supplies, a redundant hot-swappable fan, front-to-back cooling, and operation from 0° C to +45°C with 5% to 85% humidity.
