The Ubiquiti Wave AP Micro is built for high-capacity point-to-point links. It delivers up to 5 Gbps total throughput (2.5 Gbps each direction) and can serve up to 15 stations simultaneously. A dedicated 5 GHz backup radio keeps the link alive if the primary 57-71 GHz band encounters interference. Powered by an ARM Cortex-A53 processor and 512 MB of internal memory, the device handles routing, encryption and monitoring without lag. AES and WPA2-PSK protect your traffic, and the IPX6 rating safeguards the unit against rain, dust and harsh outdoor conditions. Usage
Deploy the Wave AP Micro to connect remote sites, small campuses or enterprise backhauls where fiber isn’t practical. Its compact size (76 mm × 284 mm × 156 mm) and 1.3 kg weight make it easy to mount on poles, rooftops or towers. After mounting, run a single Ethernet cable from your switch to the device, enable PoE, and launch the UISP app to complete configuration. Once active, the unit continuously monitors link quality and automatically switches to the backup radio if needed, guaranteeing uninterrupted service.
