UfiSpace S9501-18SMT 18-Port 1/10G Disaggregated Cell Site Gateway Router
The UfiSpace S9501-18SMT is an 18-port disaggregated cell site gateway router designed for high-performance mobile and telecom network deployments. It combines 1/10G SFP+ connectivity, 100M/1G SFP ports, and 100M/1G RJ45 interfaces in a compact 1RU chassis, providing flexible connectivity for cell site aggregation and network edge applications.
Powered by an Intel Denverton-NS 4-Core processor running at 1.6GHz, the S9501-18SMT includes 8GB DDR4 memory and 32GB SSD storage. The Broadcom Qumran-UX BCM88272 ASIC provides a 64Gbps switching capacity and 1GB deep buffer, supporting high-throughput traffic handling across demanding network environments.
The router provides dedicated management and service interfaces, including an RJ45 serial console, 100/1000M RJ45 management port, and USB 2.0 Type-A port. Its timing interfaces include GNSS, 1PPS, 10MHz, and ToD connections, supporting precise synchronization requirements in mobile infrastructure and carrier-grade network deployments.
For network timing, the S9501-18SMT supports a Stratum 3E OCXO, ITU-T Synchronous Ethernet (SyncE), and IEEE 1588v2 profiles including G.8265.1, G.8275.1, and G.8275.2. The system also supports hot-swappable 1+1 redundant PSUs and 2+1 redundant fans, helping maintain service availability in continuous-operation environments.
With a 440 × 302 × 43.5mm 1RU chassis, the S9501-18SMT is suited to space-conscious telecom installations. Its -40°C to 65°C operating temperature range, redundant hardware design, and multiple timing interfaces make it suitable for cell site gateway, mobile backhaul, aggregation, and disaggregated networking applications.
