The UfiSpace S9600-56DX is a high-capacity, multi-function open aggregation router designed for 5G transport, metro aggregation, and next-generation broadband networks. It combines 48 x 40/100G QSFP28 ports with 8 x 40/100/200/400G QSFP-DD ports, providing high-density connectivity and switching capacity of up to 4.8Tbps.

The platform supports 400G connectivity with QSFP-DD ports supporting 400G ZR/ZR+ and OpenZR+ applications. It also supports TSN, SyncE, IEEE 1588, and full segment routing over IPv6 (SRv6), making it suitable for time-critical and high-bandwidth network deployments.

For 5G networks, the S9600-56DX can be deployed at C-RAN hubs for fronthaul transport aggregation or at the backhaul for BBU pool aggregation. It can also be programmed as a Broadband Network Gateway (BNG), supporting flexible network architectures and broadband service delivery.

The router includes UfiSpace timing technology for Class C timing accuracy and supports IEEE 1588v2 T-GM, T-BC/OC, T-TC, and T-TSC functions. An integrated Stratum 3E OCXO, internal GNSS receiver, and ToD, 1PPS, and 10MHz interfaces provide timing capabilities for 5G synchronization applications.

Built in a 2RU chassis for standard 19-inch racks, the S9600-56DX features 8GB deep buffering, BMC remote monitoring and management, two hot-swappable power supplies with 1+1 redundancy, and four hot-swappable fan modules with 3+1 redundancy. Its Intel Icelake-D processor, 32GB DDR4 memory, and 128GB SSD provide a strong platform for high-performance aggregation workloads.
