The Westermo L108-F2G-S2-12VDC is an industrial Layer 2 Device Server Switch designed to connect Ethernet equipment while also supporting serial devices. It provides four 100 Mbit/s TX ports and two Gbit SFP ports, allowing standard Ethernet equipment to be connected alongside higher-speed fiber network interfaces. The Layer 2 software architecture is supported by Westermo's WeOS software.

A major benefit of this switch is its combination of network and serial connectivity. Two serial ports are available for equipment that communicates through serial interfaces, while USB, one digital input, and one digital output provide additional interfaces for system integration. This makes the switch useful where industrial equipment uses a mixture of Ethernet and serial communication rather than Ethernet alone.

The L108-F2G-S2-12VDC is built for industrial installations where equipment may experience wide temperature changes and challenging environmental conditions. It operates from -40 to +70°C and supports storage and transport temperatures from -50 to +85°C.
