The Lynx-5512-E-F4G-T8G-LV is a Layer 3 industrial Gigabit switch designed to connect and manage different parts of an industrial Ethernet network. It provides 8 copper RJ-45 ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbit/s and 4 SFP fiber ports supporting 100/1000 Mbit/s, allowing copper devices and fiber network links to operate through the same switch.

The switch runs on WeOS 5 and provides network management features including support for 64 VLANs and 8 priority queues. VLAN support helps separate network traffic into different logical groups, while priority queues allow traffic to be handled according to network requirements. The Micro USB console and Micro SD Secure Digital 2.0 interface also provide additional options for configuration and service.

For industrial installations, the switch provides galvanic isolation to all ports, helping electrically separate connected network interfaces. It also includes a 4-pin detachable push-in terminal for digital I/O. The full-metal housing and IP40 ingress protection provide a durable enclosure for installation inside industrial cabinets and other protected equipment areas.

The Lynx-5512-E-F4G-T8G-LV supports a rated voltage of 12 to 48 VDC and an operating voltage range of 9.6 to 60 VDC. It operates from -40 to +70°C and supports 5-95% relative humidity, with IEC 60068-2-60 compliance for corrosive gases. Its compact 70 x 100 x 100 mm dimensions and 690 gr weight make it suitable for installations where space is limited.

The switch is designed for demanding infrastructure applications with EMC, railway, safety, marine, and traffic-related approvals. It supports DNV rules for classification for ships and offshore units, NEMA TS 2, AREMA, and EN 50121-4/IEC 62236-4 trackside requirements. With Layer 3 functionality, mixed copper and fiber connectivity, galvanic isolation, and rugged environmental specifications, it is suitable for industrial, transportation, marine, and infrastructure networks.
